HotZone 4010-Based Wireless Broadband Network in Mexico

GlobeTel Communications Corp. announces that it has successfully built and deployed a HotZone 4010-based wireless broadband network within a city northeast of Mexico City, Mexico, and has begun to service customers through the network.

Yoda Communications and Nicer Look to Join Forces

BendBroadband Selects to Use Level 3's VoIP Service

Level 3 Communications' Wholesale Markets Group announces that it has expanded its relationship with BendBroadband to serve as the underlying service provider for BendBroadband's new Business Voice Service offering.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, BendBroadband, an Oregon-based cable operator, will use the Level 3 VoIP Enhanced Local service to provide small and medium-sized businesses with a new, cost-effective solution for local and long-distance calling. BendBroadband Business Phone will include enhanced voicemail, E-911 service and popular calling features such as caller ID, call waiting and 3-way calling.

TúYo Mobile Launches New Holiday Promotion

IDT’s TúYo Mobile announced the launch of a new holiday season promotion. Starting Friday, November 24, 2006 and ending Sunday, January 31, 2007, TúYo Mobile will add five dollars of free talk time to new customer account balances once each week with the purchase and use of a new phone. Customers can talk up to 490 minutes for free over the ten-week holiday program. Additionally, customers can choose to apply their free five-dollar credit towards downloading content. TúYo Mobile is IDT Telecom’s prepaid wireless service designed to meet the mobile calling needs of U.S. Hispanics. IDT Telecom is a subsidiary of IDT Corporation an international telecommunications and technology company.

ScanSafe in Network World 2006 IT Roadmap Event

The Nokia N80 Internet Edition is optimized for SIP-based Internet calls, and now Nokia and SIPphone have worked together to create an easy way to configure and make calls using Gizmo VoIP directly from your multimedia computer.

Other capabilities, such as customizing voicemail greetings, purchasing Gizmo Call Out credit for dialing landlines and mobile devices and managing Gizmo account settings are available by using the Nokia N80 Internet Edition to browse the www.gizmovoip.com web site.

First VoIP-Based Retail Call Shops in Venezuela

Vistula Communications Services, announced that Envox IP, a leading telecommunications VoIP carrier in Venezuela, officially deployed it's first of a series of franchised retail call shops across the country, following several months of trial deployments of Vistula's VoIP technology platform, V-Cube.

Based exclusively on Vistula's V-Cube VoIP platform, Envox and a group of local equipment and software providers will deploy a proprietary VoIP-based telephony solution that runs on Venezuela's most commonly used call shop equipment and software. VoIP Telephone Agreement in Beijing

The Bralorne Mining Company announced that its 100% owned subsidiary company -- Beijing Quan Tong Chang Information Service Limited has signed a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Telephone service agreement with Beijing Oriental Jiachuang International Exhibition Inc., a leading exhibition and conference holding company in China. According to the agreement, Beijing QTC will deploy its 3GenisIP Integrated Access System to Beijing Oriental to support its VoIP Broadband Phone Network service with local, long distance and international calling.

Increasing Adoption of VoIP Solutions in Asia

CounterPath Solutions and Hana Micron announced that the companies have entered into co-marketing and reseller agreements.

Under the terms of the agreements, Hana Micron will be a representative of CounterPath's softphone products in the Korean market and CounterPath will be a representative of Hana Micron's VoIP products in the United States, Canada and all European markets.

The relationship not only creates new sales opportunities for both companies in their partner's primary markets, but includes a technical collaboration which will see the integration of superior and field-proven VoIP solutions by CounterPath with Hana Micron's VoIP products. Both parties have agreed to cooperate in entering the IP-TV market by co-developing VoIP solutions for TPS (Triple Play Services: High-speed Internet, Broadcasting, and Telephony).
