Phone Power has deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net 4500 session border controllers as part of a highly scalable SIP routing solution that eliminates the need for Class 4 softswitches in their network. The SBCs are also used by Phone Power at its access borders to secure and extend the reach of its hosted VoIP services to a greater number of business and residential customers. By leveraging the broad scope of functionality delivered by the Net-Net SBC, Phone Power believes it can achieve double-digit revenue growth in 2010 and beyond.

Phone Power announces that its VOIP phone service is on the shelves at Best Buy retail stores nationwide. Featuring a unique home-and-travel combo kit, the Phone Power combo pack includes a two-line home adapter as well as a USB travel adapter. Both devices use the same phone number and with no extra monthly service charge.

Phone Power announces that their VOIP phone service is now offering 60 minutes of free international calling to 88 countries every month, including major calling destinations like Mexico, China, India, and most of Europe. This program extends to all new and existing customers on current residential and business plans. Existing customers will not need to do anything to activate this feature.
