Attendees from this month's eBay Live! 2006 Conference shared their thoughts about the communication solutions that work best for them in a comprehensive survey conducted by RingCentral, a key provider of on-demand telecommunication services for small businesses and mobile workers. The survey polled more than 85 eBay PowerSellers and found that there is growing interest in new telephony solutions, yet many are concerned about adopting new forms of communication technology such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

IPtimize to Deploy Hosted VoIP Call Center Solution

IPtimize, Inc., a Managed VoIP (Voice-over-IP) Solutions Provider, announced a new joint venture agreement with Armitage Marketing, Inc., a 10-year-old marketing and consulting company.

Converged Wi-Fi/Cellular handsets are expected to make a big splash, reports In-Stat (http://www.in-stat.com). By 2010, shipments of cellular handsets containing Wi-Fi will exceed 132 million devices, the high-tech market research firm says. Carriers have been reluctant to offer Wi-Fi-capable handsets for several reasons, but Wi-Fi has spread so fast that carriers will not be able to resist much longer.
