ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 Offers New Features for VoIP Network Analysis

ClearSight Networks announces the availability of ClearSight Analyzer 6.0, the newest software solution in ClearSight’s award-winning Analyzer product line. CSA 6.0 provides comprehensive analysis of VoIP performance issues and unrivaled ease of use for monitoring and visualization of live network environments.

“VoIP business success depends upon honoring the levels of quality and service that business and consumer customers have come to expect with competitive public switched telephone networks (PSTN) offerings,” said Dr. John Kenney, vice president, marketing for ClearSight. “ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 helps service providers and carriers, and business enterprises offering VoIP services, reduce the loss of customers at every stage in the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention to up-sell to loyalty, by monitoring and analyzing, investigating and resolving VoIP delivery issues to meet pre-existing expectations of standards before customers are adversely affected.”

ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 evaluates live network traffic and then presents a real-time assessment of network performance in a simple, yet visually rich ladder diagram display of packet flows. This enables VoIP service providers to quickly identify problems and drill down to resolve these problems in real time. With the ClearSight Analyzer 6.0, engineers can troubleshoot application, network, client, and server problems without having to decode packets manually. The main screen of the ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 presents an immediate and comprehensive overview of the network, and the easy to use hyperlinks allow engineers the freedom to drill down to see more detailed information. For example, they can display total activity for an application, then specialize to a particular server, further specialize to a particular flow, and then successfully isolate the actual media content of that flow.

“For its comprehensive network analyzer functionality, ease of use and unique user interface, we have chosen ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 as the exclusive analyzer for our Small to Medium Business IP PBX (SMB) review, which will be published in early 2007,” said Robert Smithers, CEO at the leading, independent product test center, Miercom.

ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 builds on the strengths of its precursor, CSA 5.0, which won Network World’s 2006 “Clear Choice” award, Best Network Diagnostic Tool in Network Computing’s 12th Annual (2006) Well-Connected Awards, Network World’s 2006 “Best of The Tests” award, and Frost & Sullivan’s 2006 Network Management Solutions Technology Innovation of the Year Award. Building on the award winning VoIP features of CSA 5.0, CSA 6.0 adds additional VoIP applications including MSN and Skype. ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 preserves all of the CSA 5.0 features that customers know and trust, while enhancing support for IPTV through video playback, video quality and channel zapping analysis. This release also includes an increased number of audio and video decodes, enhancements to report generation, comprehensive filter function and multi-segment view enhancements, and improved user interface and toolbar.

The ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 stand alone version, which includes updates for one year, costs $4,995. ClearSight Analyzer 6.0 will be commercially available in late January 2007.
