4G Wireless Evolution - Introducing the 4GWE Mobile App of the Year Award

Technology Marketing Corporation and Crossfire Media announce the first 4GWE Mobile App of theYear Awards. 4GWE has quickly become the premier resource for current information about the migration to 4G wireless networks.

The 4G network is rapidly approaching and the broadband Internet imperative is being highlighted by today's applications. Some applications make a smartphone act more like a Game Boy, taking advantage of mobility for distribution and commerce. Other applications take advantage of the network operator's ability to offer services or find solutions.

The Mobile App of the Year Award looks beyond the app store and focuses on the integration of information such as presence, location and other social functions, to deliver applications and services that enable context, communication and community.

"The mobile app is one of the fastest growing new technologies that have changed the way people interact with their mobile device and impacting the way business reach customers. With only a year since launch, there are more than 100,000 apps,” said Carl Ford, founder and community developer, Crossfire Media. "Recognizing companies that have created exceptional mobile apps will be recognized with the Mobile App of the Year Award."

“We are happy to introduce the Mobile App of the Year Awards to recognize those companies that contribute to the advancement of the hottest tech trend of 2009,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “If your company created a mobile application, I encourage you to apply and join the inaugural list of honorees.”

For more than 10 years, TMC has honored technology companies with Product of the Year Awards in various categories. These awards are regarded as some of the most prestigious and respected awards in the communications and technology sector worldwide. Winners represent prominent players in the market who consistently demonstrate the advancement of technologies. Each recipient is a verifiable leader in the marketplace.

Early bird entries are due by Dec. 28,. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 18, 2010.
