Glowpoint has been recognized by Everything Channel's CRN on its "Need To Know" list for the VOIP and UC markets. The "Need to Know" list is designed to highlight the key players in growing market segments and notes Glowpoint as one of the key go-to companies.

"The 'Need to Know' list is a comprehensive directory of the major players in the UC and VOIP, making it easy for busy VARs to get in front of the right vendors and the right people in the IT security landscape," said Kelley Damore, Vice President, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. "This list will help VARs navigate through the myriad companies and technologies and ultimately find the right opportunities to help them grow their business. We recognized Glowpoint due to their demonstrated leadership, and unique capabilities with respect to merging video capabilities into the emerging UC sector."

The full article will be posted on Glowpoint’s website in the coming days, but a look at the list of “Need to Know” companies.

"A key part of the growing UC market is to bring together these various users so that they can share video, audio and content to enhance the quality of meetings both internally and B2B. Glowpoint is pleased to be recognized in this capacity and will continue to innovate and create applications and services that help companies around the world achieve their communications objectives," said Glowpoint's VP of Marketing, Jonathan Brust.

An example of one recent company leveraging Glowpoint's "need-to-know" capabilities is SCOR, a global reinsurance company. SCOR utilizes Glowpoint solutions as part of a turn-key solution provided by Polycom, Verizon and Glowpoint. A case study is available at http://www.glowpoint.com/solutions/casestudies.asp.

Glowpoint's recently announced cloud-based, Open Video technology platform is specifically designed to bring together users on various video technologies and protocols, with other video and audio users for collaborative sessions.
