Mystery Virtual Phone Now Confirmed as Wizzl

I previously wrote about a mysterious YouTube video sent to me by one of my readers asking for any background information on it. At the time, I wasn't able to provide any help or get any feedback from visitors. However, I just came across this press release on Wizzl, which identifies the new virtual all-in-one phone.

Wizzl is preparing to launch a virtual phone that is unlike anything anyone has used before. Wizzl offers the general public a preliminary beta version.

Over the last three years Wizzl has developed free communication software which will allow its users ('Wizzlers') to make free voice and video calls over the internet, and calls to local and international phones and mobiles from only 1.5 Eurocents per minute. And it doesn't stop there; with Wizzl's all-in-one virtual phone, Wizzlers will have direct access to live TV, internet radio stations and the most popular web games around. Personal photographs, music and videos will also be at users' fingertips.

Expanding on Wizzl's present features, Jaap Korevaar continues, 'Wizzl offers a global rate of 1.5 Eurocents per minute for calling phones and mobiles in over 50 popular destinations across the world, and connects to over 70 international destinations not available with other internet telephony software. Unlike other online VoIP services, Wizzl software does not depend on super nodes; which is good news for processing speeds and even better news for bandwidth usage. On 23 November, we will officially launch the beta version for desktops and laptops. But I invite all interested people to get connected today and be among the first to discover the possibilities of Wizzl with us. And in the spring of 2008, Wizzl will also be available for mobile phones.'

The worldwide press launch - where Wizzl will explain in detail what Wizzl is all about, its vision and its possibilities - will be at GamePlay, the largest game event of the Benelux. GamePlay will take place between 23 and 25 November 2007 in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (the Netherlands) and will be powered by Wizzl.

The preliminary beta version of Wizzl's all-in-one virtual phone can be downloaded via www.wizzl.com for free. First-time downloaders get up to 10 minutes of free calling time to landlines and mobile phones across the world. And of course, Wizzler-to-Wizzler voice and video calls are completely free of charge.
