PingTone’s Recent Customer Satisfaction Survey has 99% of Existing Customers ''Highly Satisfied''

The 2010 survey which included over 290 customers, found that over 99% expressed a high approval rating for PingTone’s hosted VoIP service. The customer survey addressed three broad areas: overall satisfaction with PingTone service (experience, quality, ROI, price), PingTone vs. the Competition, and Likes / Dislikes / Recommendations with PingTone service. Overall, existing customers are satisfied and continued to provide praise for PingTone service and the Customer Support organization.

Cbeyond Chief Technology Officer Chris Gatch Elected New Term on SIP Forum Board of Directors

During previous leadership roles with the SIP Forum, Gatch engineered the transition of the SIPconnect Interface Specification, which facilitates connections between users and service providers, from Cbeyond to the SIP Forum. In 2006, a team led by Gatch released the SIPconnect Technical Recommendation establishing the first industry standard for SIP trunking between IP PBX and service provider networks. During his new term he looks forward to supporting the SIP Forum’s roll out of a major update to SIPconnect in version 1.1.

XConnect Reports Huge Growth in Revenue and Traffic for 2010

XConnect_logo.jpgXConnect saw revenue increase 90 percent in 2010 based on traffic growth of 153 percent as it expanded offerings to help service providers continue the transition to Internet Protocol and introduce new services.

Reflecting this growth, the company said it acquired 42 new service-provider customers across the globe, and it experienced a 161-percent increase from 2009 in the number of queries to its ENUM registry from operators seeking to interconnect voice, video, data, messaging and multimedia communications sessions.

IDT Corporation Begins Spin-Off of VoIP Related Patent Business to Shareholders

IDT Corporation will spin-off a portfolio of patents related primarily to communications over computer networks, including VoIP, and the licensing business related to those patents to its shareholders.

IDT shareholders will receive one share in Innovative Communications Technologies which will consist of the patents and the related licensing business, for every five shares of IDT. The record date and share distribution dates have not yet been determined. Upon completion of the spin-off, ICTI is expected to trade on the over-the-counter market.

Completion of the spinoff is subject to final approval by IDT’s board of directors, confirmation of the tax-free nature of the transaction, as well as effectiveness of a Form 10 registration statement filed with the SEC.

Rebtel Reaches 10 Million Users During Record-Breaking Twelve Months

has surpassed 10 million users worldwide. This profitable start-up has had a record breaking twelve months and increased revenues by more than 120% to $40 million in 2010.
