VoxOx Enters Consumer Market as ''Universal Communicator Service''

TelCentris has launched the public beta of its free consumer service, VoxOx unifies key communication channels — voice, video, IM, text, social media, e-mail, fax and more — into a single, intuitive user interface. VoxOx gives consumers full control of their contacts, conversations and most importantly, their interconnected lifestyles. As the first and only true “Universal Communicator Service,” VoxOx combines the benefits of Internet-telephony/VoIP solutions, interoperable Instant Messengers, social networking aggregators, inbound call management programs and much more for free, thereby enabling budget-conscious consumers to never have to pay for a phone call or text again!

Too many connections?

Nielsen reports a 450 percent increase in the number of text messages sent or received in the past two years. During the same timeframe, daily usage of social networking sites has nearly doubled among college students, according to a study by EDUCAUSE. The Radicati Group estimates that the worldwide number of IM accounts will grow 60 percent to 1.7 billion between 2007 and 2011, while global e-mail, now at 210 billion per day, is expected to hit 297 billion by 2010 – a 41 percent increase.

VoxOx features

Although initially targeted at Millenials and GenXers, VoxOx is a powerful tool for everyone, regardless of age. Better yet, it does not require giving up any of the users’ existing communication networks and provides a sophisticated global phone accessible from any device at little or no cost. Among key capabilities and features, VoxOx:
  • Creates a "meta address book" of contacts from all of a user's disparate communications networks in a single, easy-to-use interface, accessible from any device
  • Provides telephony services along with a free phone number, two initial hours of free talk time (with potential to never have to pay for a call again), and advanced communications features, including:
  • Full inbound/outbound calling capabilities
  • Voicemail and interactive voice response "personal assistant"
  • Two-way texting
  • Call forwarding and "one-number-follow-me service"
  • Inbound faxing and fax-to-e-mail
  • Landline replacement option
  • And more
    • Interconnects users to major instant messaging networks (MSN, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk and others), allowing members from different IMs to chat and video conference with each other from one service
    • Integrates with all major social networks, including Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and others
    • Enables flexibility for integrating existing and future applications via its open standards platform
TelCentris Engine

In order to viably offer VoxOx for free to tens of millions of users, parent company TelCentris has engineered and deployed its own proprietary service delivery platform. This award-winning “Unified Communications Engine” offers more types of communication services than competitive offerings. In addition, it is as robust and scalable as any service delivery platform on the market but without the layer of per-seat licensing fees typically charged by competitive solutions.

VoxOx is a free downloadable software application and service that runs on Windows and Mac operating systems. Its telephony services are provided via the Internet, thereby eliminating costly local loops that result when using incumbent telephone companies.
