RNKVoIP Selects Intrado to Expand Existing 911 Service

RNKVoIP, a leading provider of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony services, announced that it has selected Intrado, Inc., a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions and leading provider of VoIP E911, to expand its current 911 services.

RNK, which already provides effective and extensive 911 support for customers in 90 markets across the United States (U.S.), will integrate Intrado V9-1-1 Services into its enterprise, consumer and mobile VoIP solutions, extending its reach across the continental U.S. (with the exception of Alaska) and Canada.

Intrado V9-1-1 Services will complement RNK's existing emergency support capabilities, providing key functionality such as mobility and foreign telephone number assignment. The service quickly routes VoIP 911 calls within the existing 911 network, and accurately delivers the static or nomadic caller's address and location information to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), allowing them to receive timely emergency response.

"As we all know, delivering emergency services is an absolute imperative - not to mention an FCC mandate - and our existing infrastructure has enabled us to provide E911/911 services to customers in our network effectively and efficiently," said RNK CEO, Rich Koch. "By integrating Intrado V9-1-1 Services into our existing 911 system, we are reinforcing our already strong commitment to providing our customers the highest possible level of support, as well as expanding our footprint nationwide as well as in Canada."

RNK processes close to 10 billion minutes of use annually, and is also the leading VoIP private label wholesaler of choice for over 200 carriers and 110 resellers.
