TelCove Selects BroadSoft to Support VoIP Services

BroadSoft, Inc., the leading provider of VoIP application software, announced that TelCove, a leading provider of business-critical telecommunications services, has selected BroadSoft's VoIP application software as its platform for delivering high-value VoIP services. Deployed in core nodes in Pittsburgh and Atlanta, BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform lets TelCove deliver VoIP services over fiber to medium and large enterprises in 70 metropolitan areas in the eastern United States. TelCove builds and operates its own SONET-based network, providing fiber directly to the customer premises and delivering carrier-class services with 24-hour monitoring and maintenance.

TelCove selected BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform because of its ability to deliver multiple services in a single platform, seamless integration with TelCove's existing vendors and a comprehensive feature set that includes robust disaster recovery capabilities.

"TelCove wanted to team with a strong partner to offer high-quality VoIP among our integrated communications solutions," said Craig Drinkhall, TelCove senior vice president of Product Development and Engineering. "Our goal is to provide a premium network for our customers with premium products and services, backed by premium vendor solutions and exceptional support from partners like BroadSoft."

"We are proud to support the deployment of TelCove's VoIP services," said Michael Tessler, CEO and president of BroadSoft. "Already a leading service provider known for its ability to provide proactive monitoring and the highest quality of service on its wholly owned fiber network, TelCove is now positioned to grow its market share and realize new revenue streams by providing advanced calling features to meet customer needs."

BroadSoft's IMS-compliant BroadWorks provides a comprehensive range of VoIP applications, including hosted PBX, IP Centrex, mobile PBX, business trunking and residential broadband services fully integrated into a single hosted communications platform. BroadWorks is uniquely capable of providing these applications with the reliability, redundancy, scalability and regulatory capabilities required to deliver carrier-class service.
