TalkSwitch Receives 2010 Best Channel Products Award from Business Solutions Magazine

Business Solutions Magazine teamed up with Penn State University to run a comprehensive survey of its reseller subscribers about the products they sell. In the Business VoIP category, the TalkSwitch 244vs IP PBX phone system and the TS-350i IP phone received the award based on richness of features, product reliability, ease of integration, ease of upgrade and VAR's ability to service. The survey garnered 16,656 votes from 1,416 unique reseller subscribers. The 1,416 resellers represent an estimated $9.2 billion in annual sales, an average of $6.5 million per participating VAR.

Speakeasy's Free Phone Promotion Boosts Sales, Increasing New Customers by More Than 40 Percent

The free phone promotion, which was introduced to eliminate one of the last barriers to VoIP adoption, has spurred a more than 40 percent year-over-year increase in new customers.

The Rofo Group, which operates a specialized search engine geared toward helping companies find office space, was in the process of trying out another VoIP provider when they found themselves disappointed by the poor call quality. Speakeasy's free phone promotion, along with their guaranteed quality of service inspired The Rofo Group to make the switch. In order to switch to Speakeasy before their trial period with their current VoIP provider was up, Speakeasy needed to move quickly. Speakeasy coordinated an accelerated voice installation in just two weeks.

Skype Files Registration Statement for IPO

Skype has filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its ordinary shares. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated will be the joint global coordinators as well as joint book-running managers for the offering. BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities LLC and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. will also be acting as joint book-running managers. Lazard Capital Markets LLC, RBC Capital Markets Corporation and UBS Securities LLC will be acting as joint lead co-managers; Allen & Company LLC and Evercore Group LLC will be acting as co-managers for the offering.
