Yak VoIP Plan Now Available for Users Outside of North America

Yak Communications Inc., a provider of telecommunications services to residential and business customers, announced the launch of a yakUnlimited Calling Plan to international customers. This product offering is in addition to the other VoIP services offered by Yak, including yakForFree peer-to-peer Virtual Videophone, and yakToAnyone PC-to PSTN Calling.

This international yakUnlimited product allows international customers to choose a local North American number to associate with their account, in order to make and receive calls to and from analog or cell phones anywhere in the world. International customers can have a US local number, receive inbound calls on their US number, make calls from their US number, to and from anywhere in the US and the rest of the world, all with VideoCalling capabilities. yakUnlimited also provides numerous features including; voice mail, unified messaging, caller ID, call waiting, conference calling, etc. all for $19.99USD.

yakUnlimited international subscribers using our Virtual VideoPhone will have access to Yak's global search and directory, the ability to manage "presence" across different locations, and the ability to make and receive member-to-member video calls and up to 5 person video conferences.

"The international availability of yakUnlimited furthers our commitment to providing users with greater access to its growing community and services around the world," said Charles Zwebner, Chief Executive Officer of Yak Communications. "This application offers international subscribers access to a high quality and very inexpensive North American dial-tone, enabling subscribers to benefit from our extensive features and functionality, and ultra competitive international rates with more than 40 countries priced at $.03 or less. This product is truly revolutionary for many parts of the world and we believe it sets a new value proposition for our customers.

Yak is also developing the capability of creating a web-enabled plug-in for its PC softphone that will be able to reside within its partners' websites, allowing partner members to seamlessly chat and voice and videocall as part of their partner experience. "Allowing web administrators to easily integrate Yak's PC softphone into their websites enabling all site visitors to IM, talk and video talk freely over the internet, will better position Yak to tap into existing social networks," stated David Hurwitz, President of Yak's WorldCity VoIP business unit. We are also developing a new and more flexible softphone skin and interface to facilitate private branding of our software client so it can more easily take on the look and feel of our partners brand. We anticipate releasing these products within the next 60 days thus enabling Yak the opportunity to accelerate and scale up customers to Yak's VoIP products and services".
