Vonage UK Wins Best Consumer VoIP Award at 2009 ITSPA Awards

This year's award recognises the company's commitment and dedication to industry-leading standards of customer service, value for money and providing a wealth of service features to their clients across the world.

VoIP - Revolutionising the marketplace

Vonage UK's V-Plan 4i, the first unlimited call plan to India in the UK, has revolutionised how its customers communicate. "We are absolutely delighted to have won this award," says Vincent Potier, Vonage UK's managing director. "The fact that it's the consumer award means more to us than anything else. It helps underscore our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible standards, the best possible service and the best value for money," he adds.

Internet telephony is the ability to make voice calls over any Internet Protocol (IP) connection, particularly broadband, using VoIP. IP Communications also enable a rich multi-media set of advanced services, including high definition sound quality and presence. Internet telephony service providers can provide regular and enhanced phone line services - often at substantial cost reductions.

VoIP has changed the way people communicate, using a broadband Internet connection to place calls around the world, rather than relying on a traditional landline. The award recognises Vonage's innovations in providing an unlimited call plan to India and 35 other countries around the world, connecting both families and businesses across continents.
