BroadSoft's VoIP Mashup with salesforce.com Wins Award

broadsoft_logo.jpgBroadSoft announces that Technology Marketing Corporation's Unified Communications magazine has named BroadSoft's Unified Connector for Salesforce the Product of the Year. The Unified Connector for Salesforce is a Web 2.0 mashup of BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform with the leading web-based customer relationship management application.

The Unified Connector for Salesforce enables enterprise users to use their carrier-grade VoIP calling functionality -- including click-to-dial, call hold and call transfer -- within salesforce.com.

The Unified Connector for Salesforce is a flagship mashup in the BroadSoft Xtended program, a pioneering initiative that brings together the carrier-grade BroadWorks voice applications with leading Web 2.0 solutions. Unified Communications magazine's Product of the Year award is the second honor for BroadSoft's Unified Connector for Salesforce in the last month. VON Magazine awarded the mashup with a Judge's Top 10 Innovator Award in March.

With the Unified Connector for Salesforce, BroadWorks end-users can automatically capture and manage detailed logs of all calls from within salesforce.com to track interactions with customers. The integrated solution automatically opens a caller's Salesforce contact record when the user receives an incoming call. The user can answer calls, place callers on hold and transfer calls -- all from within salesforce.com.

Earlier this year, analyst Laurie McCabe of AMI-Partners said the Unified Connector for Salesforce brings "two market leaders in their respected categories -- hosted VoIP and on-demand CRM applications -- into the spotlight with an integration that has broad, practical appeal for many users."

Developers interested in voice-enabling business and social networking Web applications can join the BroadSoft Developers Program.
