PacStar Named Reseller of Desktop Phones for the Military and Government

PacStar has entered into an agreement with General Dynamics C4 Systems to resell the Sectera vIPer Universal Secure phone. The vIPer is a secure, end-to-end VoIP and PSTN phone system that will replace Secure Telephone Unit and Secure Terminal Equipment units currently in use by the Department of Defense, the military and its allies.

Incorporating the latest in secure desktop technology, the Sectera vIPer phone eliminates the need for multiple desktop phones. The vIPer phone is currently compatible with VoIP networks implemented using Cisco SCCP (Skinny Call Control Protocol). Built to provide seamless communications with legacy secure phones, the secure vIPer phone is software programmable with extensive memory to easily accommodate future upgrades and functionality. Without impacting user-entered information stored in your phone's memory (e.g., speed dial numbers), the vIPer phone can be easily upgraded for PSTN networks and SIP VoIP networks.
