VoiceCon Orlando 2008

VoiceCon previews big product and market announcements that will be made at the upcoming VoiceCon Orlando 2008. The conference content and exhibitor announcements reflect a significant market transition, as enterprise communications expands beyond voice/telephony to Unified Communications and Software-based architectures. The VoiceCon Orlando 2008 exhibitors who will be making announcements or demonstrating their new products for the first time will be growing as the event nears. The list currently includes:
  • 911 ETC announces V911 Connect. 911ETC now offers Enhanced 911 SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions for VoIP or Hybrid PBX/VoIP to provide an organization with an efficient and cost effective way to manage its E-911 database. Visit http://www.911etc.com for more information.
  • Aspect Software announces enhancements to the industry's only true unified approach to help contact centers better manage customer interactions extending to subject matter experts in the enterprise by delivering IT-ready, SIP-based VoIP solutions. This strategy includes upcoming updates to Aspect Unified IP and PerformanceEdge to support unified communications strategies.
  • Calabrio announces new versions of their workforce optimization software. Calabrio Quality Management 2.5 includes enhanced graphical dashboards and knowledge worker support. Calabrio Workforce Management 8.3 includes vacation, long-term strategic planning and more. Calabrio will also announce a new suite architecture that unifies all customer interaction and performance management capabilities.
  • Clarus Systems provides integrated management, testing and monitoring solutions for IP Communication and Contact Center deployments, upgrades and transformations. The company is pleased to announce the latest release of ClarusIPC, which offers new business intelligence and performance management capabilities including: enhanced reporting, data augmentation, analytics, advanced monitoring and alerting.
  • CyberData introduces its upcoming VoIP Intercom, which operates as a door entry phone with access control capabilities, or as an emergency phone with mass notification capabilities. The VoIP Intercom is capable of two-way communication with a dedicated SIP extension. An internal DTMF operated relay can activate auxiliary controls.
  • GN, the leader in innovative headset solutions announces a dedicated Electronic Hook Switch for Polycom's SoundPoint IP desktop phones. The EHS adapter allows office workers using a GN wireless headset in conjunction with Polycom's VoIP desk phones to manage calls up to 500 feet away from their desk.
  • iscoord is showcasing the new is-phone Communicator, a SIP softphone integrated into Microsoft Outlook/MSN Messenger, and is-phone click2connect, a feature enabling anonymous instant calls from any website to any phone. The is-phone technology generates new business and competitive advantages for carriers and is licensed to leading SIP providers.
  • Litescape announces a new UC application -- SupportCast: Improve customer service -- eliminating inefficiencies of disjointed web and phone requests to CSRs. Coordinate Agent Statuses -- Bridge WebEx SupportCenter with Phone ACD sessions. Minimize Impact to CSRs -- Utilize existing desktop software. Leverage Configurations -- Use existing Phone ACD queues, routing, and rules.
  • NEC introduces new applications and infrastructure for large enterprises and SMBs to tailor business communications based on employee roles. Modeled after the UNIVERGE 360 vision, the new solutions include advanced UC applications, communications servers and modular IP and digital terminals. NEC will demo these new solutions at booth 1001.
  • NET (Network Equipment Technologies) introduces the VX1800 Voice Exchange for Unified Communications -- The VX1800 Voice Exchange is a high capacity intelligent media gateway that is purpose-built for enterprise VoIP and unified communications. With advanced interoperability features, providing capabilities that go beyond limitations of simple VoIP media gateways.
  • NetQoS is launching VoIP Monitor version 1.1 with automatic investigations into problems when a performance threshold is exceeded as well as enhanced capacity planning reports to help both operators and engineers evaluate VoIP or plan additions to existing VoIP implementations.
  • OnRelay is releasing an exciting new product, which will be announced at VoiceCon. The product is designed to work equally well in North America (EVDO / CDMA) and Europe (3G / GSM).
  • Phybridge, a provider of risk-free IP telephony deployment infrastructure, will launch the Phybridge Uniphyer, a robust deployment appliance that enables voice/data network convergence with PoE and guaranteed QoS.   • Sagem-Interstar announces that its new XMediusFAX 5.5.2 fax server will support Cisco Unified Communication Manager, version 6.1, using SIP trunking. This will enable SIP deployments to be standardized across the network, ensuring higher interoperability with SIP providers.
