Smoothstone Outperforms VoIP Industry Growth Projections

smoothstone.gifSmoothstone has achieved 48.7% growth in revenues within the first six months of 2009 compared to the same period in 2008, a rate more than double the VoIP industry projected growth rate of 20.1%. The company attributes its strong performance to a combination of a consistent sales closure rate of 70% and superior customer service, resulting in 99% customer retention.

Analyst firm Gartner recently classified unified communications as one of the top ten strategic technologies for 2009. Industry analysts and thought leaders project that unified communications is a market that will continue to experience significant growth for the next several years due to the on-going proliferation of VoIP as a lower cost alternative to traditional services. Another major market driver is a trend toward simplification of IT, which is spurring companies to look for ways to consolidate tools and services to work with fewer vendors.

Smoothstone is an award-winning nationwide IP communications leader that designs, integrates and services specifically tailored solutions, including VoIP, for medium size enterprises. In March 2009, Smoothstone became one of an elite group of companies worldwide to qualify for membership in the Cisco Powered Program as a provider of Managed Unified Communications services. Smoothstone also recently received the prestigious "Members Choice 2009" award from the Telecom Association in recognition of overall program excellence.
