Damovo and N.E.T. Launch SHOUT VoIP Migration in Brazil

Damovo, a global communications solutions and services provider, in partnership with Network Equipment Technologies, Inc., a global provider of communication appliances, announce the launching of N.E.T.'s SHOUT VoIP migration appliance (VMA) in Brazil. The solutions offered by the SHOUT VMA enable companies to migrate their legacy networks to VoIP environments.

For over 12 years, Damovo and N.E.T. have worked together to provide services to the financial, energy and other markets and have broad expertise in these areas. The partnership is now ready to begin the implementation of Voice over IP technology in these markets and in the Government and Defense segments in the country by leveraging SHOUT's capabilities for interoperability with heterogeneous or multi-vendor networking environment.

The SHOUT VMA allows enterprises to seamlessly migrate their legacy communications systems to a converged IP solution by interconnecting multi-vendor PBX and call center environments with next generation VoIP applications across IP data networks. SHOUT's multi-vendor, multi-protocol support, combined with its ability to support open standards such as SIP enables enterprises to reduce implementation and capital costs when integrating their existing networks with VoIP technologies. In addition, SHOUT also provides advanced voice encryption features for secure communications, a requirement in some vertical segments.

Damovo also trades and implements other N.E.T. product families, such as the Promina access platform for multi-service networking with its excellent performance history in the backbones of many government agencies' networks worldwide; the SCREAM platform for broadband services; and platforms for network management, along with the SHOUT platform for voice over IP services.

Damovo selects the technology and the service that best fits the needs of their clients, providing a true tailored solution. "We are confident that this partnership will benefit the market with a solution that serves our clients' real needs," comments Arnaldo Curvello, president at Damovo do Brasil.
