CableLabs Summer Conference Peering Solution

Nominum Inc., the leading provider of network naming and addressing solutions, announced it will be demonstrating an ENUM-based VoIP peering solution featuring Acme Packet, NeuStar and Siemens technology at the CableLabs Summer Conference. This event will be held in Keystone, Colorado from August 6-9, 2006 at The Keystone Resort & Conference Center.

This fully integrated solution incorporates Nominum Navitas, the industry's first ENUM-based IP-application Routing Directory, Siemens' SURPASS hiQ 8000 softswitch, Acme Packet's Net-Net Session Border Control and NeuStar's SIP-IX data services, including Local Number Portability, which enable interoperability for VoIP peering architecture. Designed and optimized for the routing demands of converging telecommunications networks, this solution fills an essential role in emerging VoIP peering architectures and IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), providing greater visibility into the routing infrastructure and accelerating the delivery of high quality, low cost VoIP and other advanced services.

Nominum Navitas enables this solution by sitting at a critical point in new network topologies and provides the necessary information to route sessions between IP networks, resolve SIP to URI translation and to handle local number portability data. Nominum Navitas is the first to market ENUM based IP-application Routing Directory which includes massive scalability, real-time updates, provisioning interfaces and optimizations for varied deployments.

The combination of Acme Packet, NeuStar, Nominum and Siemens technology is providing a new benchmark in the optimization of VoIP call routing management, improving margins and achieving better quality of service for VoIP networks.
