Spring VON Conference & Expo Returns to San Jose, March 17-20, 2008

Pulvermedia announces the twelfth annual Spring VON.x Conference & Expo will take place March 17-20, at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose. The Industry's largest, longest-running, and most respected Internet communications event now adopts the VON.x brand, which signifies the inclusion of technologies such as IP-voice, IP-video, wireless, presence, instant messaging, social media, and many others that have enhanced and evolved the Internet communications industry.

From a content perspective, VON.x continues to address the leading issues and trends in the industry. The upcoming San Jose event features full tracks dedicated to Wireless; Unified Communications; the Innovator's Forum, including the "Unconference"; Video on the Net; and Open Source Telephony, as part of Digium Asterisk World. Hundreds of sessions featured within these tracks reflect the contributions of the newly established VON Advisory Board, who have helped to bring a fresh and comprehensive perspective to the program. Details on the complete conference program are available at: http://www.springvonx.com/agenda.

The VON Expo features hundreds of leading-edge vendors, many of whom plan to launch new products and solutions at the show, as part of the VON.x Unveiling Program. Dozens of additional exhibitors will be recognized as winners of the inaugural VON Innovators Awards. VON.x sponsors include: AT&T; Brix Networks; Polycom; Panasonic; and NMS Communications. Association sponsors include: the IMS Forum; SIPCenter, and the SIP Forum. A complete list of exhibiting companies is available at: http://www.von.com/2008/sanJose/web/expoCompanies.php.

VON.x also marks the launch of several new programs that are designed to help the VON community reach one another more effectively. VON TV will film conference content, and will make it available to attendees in an on-demand, 24x7 fashion at VONtv.net. And local news affiliate NBC-11 San Jose will participate at VON.x, filming various speakers and vendors on the expo floor, helping all of the participants at VON.x tell their stories to a wider audience.

"In the last two years, VON has expanded around the globe, into Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and this expansion has brought a global audience back to each of our U.S. shows, as colleagues from almost 100 different countries are expected to join us in San Jose," said Jason Chudnofsky, President and CEO of Pulvermedia. "This ever-expanding mix of international delegates helps to further establish VON.x as the center of the Internet communications industry, and it's helped to create a venue for meeting new industry professionals and forming new business alliances around the globe. Between VON's lengthy track record; the extensive amount of new content we're adding to the program; and the quality of the exhibitors on the show floor, we're confident that VON.x remains the one-and-only 'must-attend' event in the Internet Communicatons space."
