Envox Brings VoIP Services and Products to Venezuela
Vistula Communications Services, Inc.
, a global supplier of flexible and reliable Voice over IP ("VoIP") services to major telecommunications carriers, cable operators and Internet Service Providers, announced that it has reached an agreement to provide its V-Cube VoIP solutions to
Envox Telecomunicaciones IP
, an enterprising telecommunications service provider in Venezuela.
With Vistula's V-Cube solution, Envox Telecomunicaciones IP, will be the country's first private telecommunications provider to offer a wide range of VoIP-based solutions to the country's large number of call shops or "Tele Cafe," as well as to the residential and corporate markets.
Jorge Sierra, Executive Vice President of Envox IP said, "Vistula's V-Cube was simply the best option we found for bringing our VoIP-based products to the Venezuelan market. We will use the V-Cube solution to run three main areas of telecommunications services, those include the Call Shop market, residential and corporate (IP-PBX). Vistula brought us a proven and cost-effective product with the quickest implementation time available in the market place."
"Envox exemplifies the new wave of service providers around the world who are embracing IP-based communications services," said Rupert Galliers-Pratt, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Vistula Communications. "With Vistula's VoIP applications, Envox can now offer new compelling IP communication services that address the needs of Venezuela's vast Call Shop industry, in addition to the under-served residential and enterprise markets."
Vistula's commitment to underserved markets around the world, is sustained by industry trends and research like that from Infonetics Research, which found that global sales of service provider voice over IP equipment totaled $1.71bn in 2004, a healthy 36 per cent gain over 2003, with revenue predicted to reach $5.9bn in 2008, representing a five-year compound annual growth rate of 36 per cent. In addition, the global market for consumer VoIP services is also growing quickly, with total VoIP subscribers worldwide at 16 million in 2005 and projected to grow to over 55 million by 2009, reports In-Stat.
Vistula's V-Cube IP-PBX and VoIP solutions have been implemented by major global carriers, services providers and transit network operators including, Telstra Europe Limited, Transtel (South Africa), Saigon Post and Telecommunications Services Corporation, HFCL (India) and IUSAcom (Mexico), among others.
