JAJAH Wins Race to Bring Phone Calls to Facebook

jajah_logo2.jpgJAJAH releases the first true calling solution for Facebook, allowing anyone to call online friends anywhere in the world in just one click. The calls are free from JAJAH, and the person receiving the call only needs to be your friend on Facebook.

Facebook Call is the first true calling solution for Facebook. There is no need to reveal your phone number, no need for the other person to sign up or download anything -- the call is connected directly into Facebook. Until now, most online calling services required both parties to download an app or a client. Now they just need to be one of Facebook's 500 million members.

This is the second major social networking calling breakthrough from JAJAH, following the release of JAJAH@call which allowed Twitter users to make free, secure calls to their followers with just a tweet.

To make a Facebook Call:
  • Download the JAJAH App from Android store
  • Connect to Facebook
  • Select a friend from the "online friends" list
  • They will receive a message within Facebook chat advising of the call. Once they accept, the call is connected directly into their browser.
In addition to calling Facebook friends, the JAJAH App, developed in conjunction with Telefonica I&D, allows you to call any phone at incredibly low rates. Contacts are automatically loaded from the phone for click to call, or simply enter a phone number. The app uses the Internet (WiFi, 3G, GPRS) to set up the call, but once connected it's a regular call, meaning excellent, reliable call quality and no big charges.

Anyone in the US and Canada can download the app, which is in beta, now available on Android Market. iPhone version is coming soon. For further information visit JAJAH Facebook Call page.
