Closing the Gap

Nominum, the leading provider of network naming and addressing solutions, is pleased to announce that both Georges Smine, Senior Director Product Marketing and Patrice Hervouet, Technical Sales Director EMEA from Nominum, will be presenting seminars at IP'06. IP'06 runs 17 and 18 October 2006 and is being held at Earls Court in London.

Georges Smine's seminar entitled 'Peer-to-Peer networks for voice and enterprise applications,' will address the need for IP-application Routing Directories and the essential role they play to enable universal end-to-end voice and enterprise applications. The operator's desire to connect disparate islands of VoIP and realise the benefits of an all-IP network is driving forward VoIP peering efforts.

Patrice Hervouet will present a seminar entitled, "ENUM -- the implications for voice services," which will cover ENUM, the mapping of a telephone number from the PSTN to Internet addresses that will assist in the convergence of the PSTN and IP networks. Patrice will discuss how ENUM will improve many of the current VoIP and enhanced voice services implementations.

Earlier in the year Nominum launched Nominum Navitas, the industry's first ENUM-based solution designed and optimised for the routing demands of converging telecommunications networks. Nominum Navitas is an ENUM-based IP-application routing directory server that enables the connection of advanced IP-based communications services between separate networks. This solution fills an essential role in emerging VoIP peering architectures and IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), providing greater visibility into the routing infrastructure and accelerating the delivery of high quality, low cost VoIP and advanced services.

Georges' Smine's seminar is on Tuesday 17 October, 2006 at 10am in X room. Patrice Hervouet's session takes place on Wednesday 18 October, 2006 at 4:40pm.
