I have only one word for this company RUDE. Customer service is very poor. Long hold times and CSR that need to get out of customer service. beware if you have a problem. Small short term company.

The service calls are handled by call centers in Pakistan and the moment they know they are talking to someone with an Indian origin, the tone changes and the person who was working with me, said that I could take my business elsewhere if I don't like the service. All this after only about 4 minutes into the call - Got my adapter after about a week of placing the order. But was charged for shipping / activation - i signed up for the annual payment plan which offers free shipping and activation and wanted to know why i was charged for shipping and activation. Even before i could explain the whole situation, the customer service rep asked me a pointed question - "Are you from India?" and to this I answered "yes", that when all hell broke loose. More than once he used the term "You Folks", and asked me if i knew how much it would cost to ship a package thats about a pound. Bottom line looks like they have a great service, but have racist customer service reps who hate Indians.

Vonics Review
Let me first warn anyone that most Vonics reviews seem to be created by Vonics as a way of advertising their service. We were a little suspicious of the "similar" reviews and the great detail that they went in to detailing the "features." No customer does this...only a sales person does.
Personally, I have NEVER written a review for a company, but I do use them in making my selection. This company got very high marks...how I don't know? We paid in full for a 14-month service and 3 weeks later are still without service or any service from VONICS. They could not even follow up with a simple email (after the original generated purchase email). No follow-up after our faxed Port request, No follow-up after several emails and customer service phone calls. No emails about shipment of equipment, no email or follow-up about any service what so ever! Amazing. We signed up for VOIPyourlife and were up and running in 24 hours. Not to mention the AMAZING Customer Service. We were old Sunrocket customers and they were good at their service and customer service. VOIPyourLife blows them out of the water. So Run away from VONICS at ALL Costs...don't go anywhere near them with a credit card number...Still can't get my credit card credited for service I never got. They can't even access my account because of "non-usage" to apply my credit. HA. After being on hold with their cust. service OVERSEAS I was told after over 30 min. that there was nothing they could do to help me and I needed to call back again the next day. Did I mention VOIPyourlife is local and so is their cust. service!!!! I hope I have given you an overview and enough detail to show why this company is a NO! There were so many "anonyms" 5 star rankings with the same basic line or review that I think they are bogus! On VOIPyourlife's review...they are detailed!!!! and from real people. Please take my advice...use anyone but Vonics and if the others leave you unhappy...look again at VOIPyourLife. They are NOT the cheapest...but in this case...you get what you pay for!!!! I do not work for VOIPyourlife...I am a Homemaker with 2 kids and my husband is an IT geek that works in retail. I just want everyone who reads my review to know that we were happy with Sunrocket until the dumped us like last weeks garbage. That Vonics is evil and that our current service provider VoipYourLife is Awesome!!!!

If you want to be on hold every single time you call, always talk to a bunch of rude people in India that you can't understand, and then have them hang up on you, then get Vonics Digital. Also, if you want them to tell you that your online signup form AND all your fax documents (that you paid $5.50 for) never got there and they have no way of even checking, then get Vonics Digital. Since the Indian lady had no clue how to help me, she just hung up on me! I never got to try the clear signal I keep reading about, but now I don't want to. This place is a big joke!

Good until you have a problem. Requested two phone adapters (for me and my brother) shipped to the same address with different 2nd row in the address. They shipped only one. Tried to contact customer service - emails not answered. Left messages - no one called back. Created online ticket - no response for 5 days. Could reach them in 4(!!!) days. They shipped my adapter to my brother. His one still not shipped. Was promised that the adapter would be shipped the same day. Still no tracking. Again westing time trying to contact them...

I have the feeling that most of Vonics staff browse the internet and writes reviews. Most of Vonics reviews are clearly fake. Vonics offers acceptable quality service but there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! E-mails go unanswered and you often get voice mail when their main phone # is called! Website is down very often.
This is a small company with a handful of people working for it. Occasionally, there are numbers (or area codes- I couldn't figure it out yet) that you simply can't call- mostly at night. Features and call quality are OK.

Vonics non-existent customer service is amazing.
Got my adaptor from Vonics a week ago, and still don't have service. I can't get a hold of help desk at Vonics. I have left 4 messages, 1 email and so far no response in the last 10 days. I am also an Old sun rocket customer, and one good thing about sun rocket was that they were responsive.
Unfortunately I have come to the point of contacting my CC company for not paying. I can no longer deal with long wait times just to get an answering machine to leave a message for a call back.
I agree with some of the comments above indicating that looks like all the good feedback is done by Vonics itself. I used the feedbacks to make my decision, and everything seems to be the exact opposite.

i picked vonics after the sunrocket screwover.
i got my adaptor
hooked it up
have outgoing service
still waiting 3 weeks to get an inbound number.
of course its 14 days past the money back guarantee no questions asked.
i am going to call my cc company to request refund for no service
they now do not answer their phones
they are not returning emails. my last email was from august 8 telling me i have a commit date of august 13 (today) to get an inbound number.
i think i have been screwed again.
i am out 155.00 for a year of service.
i just do not want a landline
i hate the fees, the taxes the rip off by the big companies.
in the beginning vonics was very responsive.
answered every call
returned every email
i was thrilled to be getting something since sunrocket screwed me out of $199 on april of 2007 when i renewed from a year ago.
i am so sick of the consumer being taken advantage of.
why on earth was i a moron to sign up for another year instead of the 12.99 a month plan. to get the damn motherfing adaptor free and free shipping.
i paid 155.00 for outbound calls only for 3 weeks.
omg
i am a fool
a fool i tell you.
vonics is a rip off

This came from Vonics today.
I don't work for the company and have used Vonics service since SunRocket went out of business.
Calls are clear...and network uptime has been over 99%. Like you, I was concerned over the companies recent customer support concerns, however the enclosed e-mail is highly explanatory...My guess is that many VOIP providers are faced with the same issues.
Dear Valued Customer,
We have been temporarily experiencing a very high volume of sales and support calls for the last three weeks since the day Sunrocket announced to shut down its operations overnight. This temporary situation is primarily because of the 200k Sunrocket customers not only looking for new service, but have their phone numbers ported over to a new provider before they lose their phone numbers. We have been experiencing great difficulty ramping up our staff with qualified and trained sales and technical support staff at such short notice that can handle this many folds increase in sales and support calls and emails.
We have been able to help few thousand new customers to get up and running with our service and get their number ported however; we do apologize to all of you whom we have not been able to respond back to your voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
Over the last few days we have revamped our email and ticketing system and will strive to respond to most email and support queries within 24 hours. You will see these changes when you request for support via email or tickets.
We are in the process of revamping our sales and support staff as well and are adding more agents to our support center to be able to handle the extra volume of calls. If you need to call us we do request you to call for urgent support issues only for the next two weeks while we are revamping our support center. We do appreciate your understanding regarding the same. We also ask your help to only send emails to the department that you require help from and not copy all other departments as it will only delay the right department to get back to you and, it will also clog up the email system causing delays in response.
We are committed to providing excellent support to our customers. We do however request your understanding for the next couple of weeks while we are revamping our operations to better serve you.
We are always looking for feedback from you to help improve our system. We appreciate all feedback regarding feature requests as well as problems and suggested improvements.
We look forward to serving your communication needs.
Best Regards,
Vonics Management
Martin

As a lot of people here, I'm having problems with Vonics:
-First the adapter they sent me (linksys) was not configured, so it wouldn't work until after many many calls and emails, I got someone to give me a call and change some settings on the adapter.
After that, adapter was working, really good quality of calls, but then...
-A lot of times when calling from the adpater, the other party couldn't hear anything! not noise: nothing, total silence...but, I could hear everything! this only happens with outbound calls..I haven't experienced this with inbound calls..
-Now when I call the number, I get a message "the number you are trying to reach has been disconnected or is not longer in service"...pathetic, and very, very annoying...
Of course, and like everybody else, my main complain is their customer support: nobody answers the phone..nobody returns emails, I only get some feedback when opening a ticket, and this is sporadic, sometimes not even tickets work...the last 2 problems I'm still dealing with, since I haven't received any response from them...their tech support knowledgebase is ridiculous..non existent..browse it: https://support.vonics.net/support-center/
There's nothing there, plus is mixed with some mobile service they have somewhere

Like several others here, we came to Vonics after SunRocket went belly up. I was somewhat concerned by the RAVE reviews on Voipreview.org (as site sponsored by several of the major providers) being from folks who didn't seem to be English speakers and simply listed the provider's features, or made vague comments like "they are the best." Yes, it seems that these positive reviews were planted by Vonics employees to boost ratings. Still, their features list and pricing was enticing, and I needed to make a decision quickly, so I bit... I am now looking for a replacement!
The price is good, but it does include "extra fees" that are not listed up front. The quality of calls, so far, has been much better than what we had on SunRocket. (Note: Much of our call quality issues are related to Comcast's poor broadband signal, but Vonics deals with this better.) The equipment arrived quickly and the set up went smoothly. That's where the good things stop.
Customer support is virtually non-existent. The interface device came with no instructions or information at all. Although we could make outgoing calls right away, It took far too long to be able to get incoming calls. Our telephone number was a temp for about a month. Once our proper number was ported over, all services (voice mail, E-911, back-up numbers...) had to be reset, but we were never told that.
The website interface is poor, to say the least. I thought SunRocket did a pretty good job, and so I expect something useful. Using Vonic's site is a chore, to say the least. As mentioned by another, the help section is a joke--or would be if it was needed so badly.
The "features" are poorly implemented. Again, I may be too used to SunRocket's features which were pretty robust. However, I expect a voice mail system to have some kind of notification for me regarding waiting calls. Nope, Vonics doesn't think so. No light, no special dial tone, no indicator on the interface box, nothing but an email, which tells you very little and requires you to check your computer inbox to see if there are phone messages. Voice mail requires a password even when calling from your home phone, and requires dialing a 4 digit number. Caller ID on incoming calls. is very bare bones, and the call time can not be rest to your own time zone so calls always appear to be several hours off. There is no speed dial or other simplified dialing process.
You get to have a free "virtual" telephone number in another area. I wanted one for a city where most of my wife's family is so they can call us tool-free. The system let me request the proper area code and exchange and assigned a temp number (which you can't use) based on that. The actually number they finally assigned us is for the wrong area code and would be a toll call from the city I needed to number for. Of course, several attempts to get customer support to resolve this have gone unanswered.
I guess I'll take a cancellation fee to find a company that has good service, but also decent customer support and useful features. Anyone know a company like that??????

So far, so good. I had SunRocket and switched to Vonics in late July (fyi, got a refund from Visa for 6 months remaining). Cust Srv has Never been a prob. Website is not as good as SR hope they change it. Features could be better, BUT I'm pretty well satisfied. Voices have mil.second delay; ehco now and then; and adaptor drops out occaisionally. Good value tho. Vonics has even implemented a suggestion I had for the call logs on their site... not bad for a company under pressure to add thousands of new customers in a hurry. Great price and, I feel, a good value.

I signed up in May, enticed by the low cost and the reviews. I didn't notice what I thought were planted reviews, they seemed honest and had a much higher rating on the sites I checked than other companies. I was going to choose either them or Sunrocket, but Sunrocket was too new and didn't have reviews and I just didn't want to deal with that (that was my one good decision).
Vonics impressed me the first month. My adapter arrived very quickly and I had an activated number a good week before they told me it'd be active. Call quality is quite good (better than the regular land line at my parents) unless I'm using the internet a lot. This is mostly due to my crappy DSL though.
I loved how quickly I was up and running and making unlimited calls. It's true there were some hidden fees but being <$20 worth I didn't complain, especially with the service. I had a couple issues now and then and the customer service was very good, offering some good insight, no waiting and availability at all hours of the night.
Then there was a lightning storm, I'm not sure if it was that or a fluke but after I could get no dialtone. I tried doing what customer service suggested (cycling my router and power to the voip box). After this I verified with them that the 'Phone 1' light never lit when I picked the phone up and this is why there was no dialtone. The next day the CSR I had talked to on the phone yesterday had emailed me of his own accord and said if it didn't clear up, based on what I experienced I need a new voip adapter and to email him back if that was the case. I was impressed that I was emailed as a follow up, I have really liked the company.
But I emailed him back with no response. Sent an email a week for 2 months to full customer support with no response. Have tried calling their customer support a few times a week for the past month and it quickly says to leave a voicemail and they'll get back. They've never gotten back. I then decided I would not leave a voicemail and stay on the line. I stayed on for 45 mins before I gave up (during a time that should NOT have been a heavy call time).
I have tried using better business buruea to help me and have gotten no response from them either, I'm going to try rescinding the credit transaction if I can and move on. I'm not sure why they were so hit and miss. They impressed me so much at first I was recommending them to everyone. Their loss I guess. Maybe this was simply caused by a giant influx of sunrocket customers, but how many sunrocket customers could there be and why would you keep accepting customers if you could not handle the load? Very poor planning.
For those of you that got hit twice (Sunrocket and now Vonics, I feel very sorry for you I hope you find better in the future. The two I'm thinking of trying next are www.lingo.com (because I heard they're about as old as vonage and reliable) and http://www.packet8.net/ because I heard they had great service and reputation. And they both cost the same as Vonics for annual cost, I hope they suck less.

I echo what Chris said. Vonics has been very hit and miss for me too. They impressed me at first with good responsiveness and seemed to answer all of my needs, but after the first month or so I was not able to get through to Customer Service or any responses to my emails. It was like they disappeared. The voice quality was not that great in my case; it was like talking on a walkie-talkie. Perhaps there was some kind of adjustment they could make in the adapter, but they would never respond to my inquiries. Also, it took them about 6 weeks to port over my phone #. All the issues combined I am now switching to VOIP Your Life. I have been using them for about 2 months now and have been very happy with their customer service and voice quality.

Sunocket+Vonics= Screwed over!!!!!!
I got caught up in the run and find a new provider thing. The Vonics reviews sold me dont be fooled, it works most of the time, I have a good relationship with a real support person who has been the only reason I have stayed. I vote for the underdog and keep hoping that they come out on top. I will give the service a couple of more months, I never got a credit on the first month service or activation even after multiple requests. Not bad people if you can put up with the hastle but I would not do it again.

Vonics Suck, DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT JOINING THIS COMPANY, We are having trouble issues since we started. After pocketing a heavy yearly fee this company is not fulfilling the contract, through which Vonics has to supply an uninterrupted phone service, which is critical by any means. The latest disruption is “no incoming calls” - period. Since last week, almost six days have gone by and we as a customer of Vonics have no incoming service. If you call from outside to any of the vonics customer you will get a recording which will say, “All circuits are busy”. This company also offers virtual international numbers and charge extra for this service and this service is also not working for the last whole week. On top of that, there is no one available on the customer service end. You can try all the numbers and the story is the same. If you call them, you will get a recording, telling you to wait for a representative, only after two minutes you will hear another prompt encouraging you to leave a message because of higher then normal call volume. If you do leave a message, no one will ever call you. If you still stay on the line, the call will be disconnected after 5 minutes. If you email them to their given email contacts from their website, there is simply no reply. I have been doing this for six days and all I get is one email which came in return of my first email six days ago only stating a complaint number or trouble shooting issue number. I do not want to continue with this company, how I can get my money back, when no one is available on the other side. This is what happens when you outsource to Pakistan.

Very poor customer service. I have vonics for 10 months and every now and then it breaks, its impossible to get technical support usually it takes a week or more to get the problem fix that is also if you keep bugging sales group. charges are unexplainable!

Vonics' customer service is totally non-existent. I never did get fully functioning service, finally gave up and requested a refund...been trying for months to be put in touch with a manager, billing, or anybody at all who can say something other than "all I am authorized to do is send an email letting them know of your issue". Be warned!!!

Vonics sucks. Shut down long distance over two weeks. Impossible to get refund. Impossible to reach costumer servive. This company should be reported. I was allreadt screwed with sunrocket and now this. Lets post bad reviews all over the internet.

I can only repeat what many said; continuous outages; no response from customer service, nowhere to go to get a refund. In five month of service (or lack of) I've been without outgoing or incoming service for half of that....I'm past the grace period too; I don't think I can get any money back but I hope I will save someone from repeating the same mistake.

I received Vonics after Sunrocket crashed. Rather, I selected Vonics. The service has been wholly unreliable.
Customer Service---Most frequent message is to leave a message. I've been a customer since August 2007 and never received a return phone call regarding customer service.
Telephone Service--- Today, November 24th 2007, no International Service. It tells me the number is unreachable. We frequently are told incoming calls, even domestic, can not be made to us. We were told upon sign-up, that our numbers could be ported. This took well over a month. We were told we would get two numbers, per the splash page. We were given one and it was temporary. We wanted to select a number in a new area code as we moved, we were told (when we get through to customer service) that we could get a number in the area code we were moving to. 2 weeks later we are told this is impossible.
VOIP has its risks, it's in its infancy but Sunrocket did work reliably for months. Vonics does not work regardless of box set-up, multiple system recycles (usually 1-3 a day) of rebooting cable modem and vonics box. CableModem box is not defective.
In short---if you are interested, get a trial if they even make this available. Call around the USA, with your internet on and off. The slightest surfing also kills the phone call.
In long---Vonics is riddled with poor service. There is no one to report to regarding problems. I do have emails that come in sporadically but they rarely address the problem that I've tried to leave by phone etc.
I would recommend another provider and also a trial to work the nuances out within your own cable network. I will be getting a refund through the credit card company for all services.
Imagine having kids and sick relatives and being unable to use the service with any reliability.
Matko

Do not sign up with this company. The service is up and down ALL THE TIME. Outgoing calls are good but many incoming calls just do not connect. Try to get ahold of tech support. Calls go right to voicemail and then your call is never returned. I can only say that the voice quality is good when the service is up and that their rates are very low, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Vonics started out as a good VOIP phone company. The phone quality and service as of late has been so poor the phone is totally unusable. At first they seemed to try to help by sending canned suggestions--now they won't even respond to my e-mails. I made the big mistake of signing up for a year and am now out the $300.00. I can understand having problems but I cannot accept their unresponsiveness. I agree that many of the positive comments about this service are indeed generated by VONICS themselves.

My vonics voip has no dial tone since yesterday night 11:30pm 12/21/2007.
I am not able to receive or dial any phone calls.
And there customer service is world's no. 1 worst service.
vonics should be sued for not providing constant service.

July 28 - Paid VONICS $218.05 for year's service.
July 31 - faxed VONICS Letter of Authorization to port my two listed phone numbers.
Aug. 13 - Router arrived, connected; service began.
Sept. 2 - Called VONICS to CANCEL service, as NO CUSTOMER SERVICE to find out ANYTHING about porting the numbers. VONICS never confirmed receiving the LOA. Was told by "Aizel" (Pakistanian ??) that I would receive email the NEXT DAY with info on Canceling. Email never came.
Sept. 27 - after finally getting cus.srvc. to give address to return equipment, my account was canceled, but no refund offered. Say that I did not cancel within 30 days. (8/13 to 9/2 = 20 days)
Oct. 10 - was able to talk with another strange name at cus.srvc. who said that BILLING would email me about credit on refund. NO EMAIL CAME.
Oct.23 - Disputed $218.05 charge with credit card company.
Oct. 31 - VONICS responded to disputed charge by charging and ADDITIONAL $140 to my credit card, rather than issuing a refund for 10 months of unused VOiP service.
Nov. 8 - Disputed the $140 charge
Nov. 20 - VONICS charges another $140 to my credit card.
Dec. 10 - VONICS charges STILL another charge of $123.05.
FINALLY had to cancel credit card to prevent these thieves from stealing more unauthorized, unwarranted fees.
BUYER BEWARE!!!

NEVER GO WITH VONICS; TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE; I WAS INFORMED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT ITS THEIR CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT AN ACCOUNT IS CANCELLED WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL! My best suggestion to anyone that wants to cancel with Vonics is to first CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD.
Here's a section of a letter I just sent them while mailing their device hardware back listing all the problems I had with their service:
---
The "feature" of your customer service automated phone system to force callers to leave a message with no option to conitnue to hold after waiting 10 minutes is very inconvenient. There is no good time to call because its always a long wait and nobody ever picks up within the first 10 minutes. I stopped trying to call you when I had phone problems, because I realized it just wasn't worth my time and you guys don't give refunds on time. If I am very determined to get a hold of you, this process requires I block out a whole chunk of my day (2 hours perhaps), to repeatedly call and be forced to leave a message (which you do not return by the way) to deal with Vonics and your lousy service. I can't even put you on speaker phone because you force me to repeatedly call you every 10 minutes. WHOSE MILLION DOLLAR IDEA WAS THAT?!
The core of the problem is over the past 2 months, I've had people e-mail me and call my cell phone multiple times saying my Vonics phone number says "no service" or something to that effect. THAT'S WORSE THAN GETTING VOICEMAIL, BUSY SIGNAL, CLICKS, ANYTHING!-- BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE I NO LONGER HAVE THAT NUMBER! I've called my Vonics number many times from a cell phone too, and half the time it won't ring and voice mail won't pick up so people have no way to communicate with me besides knowing my other more reliable phone numbers! Vonics service is a gamble too, sometimes people get voicemail when I'm not on the phone, sometimes people get that my number is out of service, sometimes they get a couple clicks, and sometimes the phone rings on my end but not theirs and they can't hear me but I can hear them, and the list goes on and on. Your service has been like this since almost since I switched to you guys and has gotten worse to the point where it has gotten so unusable, its almost funny and I stopped trying to call and let you guys know. As soon as I ported my Vonics numbers back to Vonage, I haven't had a single problem, dropped call, echo, choppy conversations, etc., so you can't blame my cable modem service.
Even the .WAV files I got as e-mail attachments with Vonics voicemail were truncated within the first 2 seconds of the message a WHOPPING 75% OF THE TIME or contained no audio at all! Its nice that Vonage gives me the full voicemail message in its .WAV attachments.
Top top it off, you send me this bogus cut-and-paste e-mail below with every service possibility you offer and the terms with each, instead of looking at the service attached to my account and how long I've been with you. Despite the fact a human still may have actually sent me this e-mail, do you really think I want to read pages and pages of terms for service I never had with you? I'm not asking for permission to cancel, I AM CANCELLING my account by my choice whether you like it or not.
I'll pay you for your initial service, but if anything, YOU SHOULD BE REFUNDING ME THE LAST 2 MONTHS BECAUSE THE LAST 2 MONTHS HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE TO PRACTICALLY NONEXISTANT service. Because you cannot possibly offer the service you advertise at any capacity, I really don't think you should be docking fees to any of your customers; simply because I finally got fed up with your company's technical shananigans and not getting what you advertised I would get for the money you got from me.

I'm with vonics until August. I'm looking for a new sub-$20 provider. Are there any out there that have at least 500 minutes, voicemail, email messages, and 3 party calling?
I have not had a phone call actually come through for the past week now. I have to call them all back after the line rings and gets dropped.

I have been with Vonics for 7 months. Almost every month I would get a disruption of service. It has been very unreliable. I can't wait to switch after my 1-year subscription is up. Go with Vonics only if you don't mind having a disconnection at least once a month.

Numerous dropped calls...calls abruptly cutting off in mid-conversation...VONICS box causes internet disconnects couple of times a day.....customer service is useless on telephone...their email customer service provides useless solutions.....they really rip you off when you try to leave, charging three or four different previously undisclosed fees adding to over $100

One the WORST VOIP phone company that I have ever dealt with...their service quality is OK (50-50)....but when it comes to customer service, I feel like shooting myself thinking about why I subscribed to their service..Customer support is provided some rude bunch of people sitting in Pakistan...and sometimes a lady answers calls from Indonesia..This lady has absolutely no idea about thow their company operates.....never even bother calling their 1-800 customer support number, you will be put on hold for hours...- no one answers, even to ur emails....Unfortunately i ahd given my credit-card number to them and they kept charging me everymonth even after I had cancelled service with them and returned their crappy telephone adapter....I had to finally call my credit card company and asked them to cancel my Card..PLEASE NEVER SUBSCRIBE TO VONICS...YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED LIKE ME.

Sound quality is good that's it's only good point. NOT reliable. International calling is junk. Voip light keeps going out every now and then. Just 2 minutes ago, it did it again. Stay away.

I have Vonics for over 8 months now.
Every week I have an issue with their serivce.
No technical support over the phone, you have to submitt email for help requests. Average turn around is 3 days.
Biggest mistake I made was, I paid upfront for 1 Year, now I'm stuck. Can't wait to get the peroid over so I can switch to a better Company.
This is a California based company with Pakistani owner who is running the business with the same narrow desi mentality ( I'm my self Pakistani).
Bottom line is
- No technical support
- Crappy hardware to support customer demand.
- Terrible voice quility
- You will not get what you pay for
- Get ready to pull your hair, if there is any left after a month.
Stay away from Vonics, canot not stress more than that. (these positive reviews are definely posted by their employee or emloyees)

Does anyone know what is going on with Vonics? They told me 2 days ago they were having Switch issues "Due to recent changes made at our switch level, one of our CLEC’s has run into problems with a very small number of Vonics subscriber phone numbers pointing to the right equipment"
Now all of a sudden I have no phone service, no way to reach them (emails have gone un-answered) any number I can find for them all seem to come up disconnected. Even the website has gone dark (ie can't connect) Oddly I reached them yesterday and logged into the account and website yesterday.
Help!!!

Same problem here - no service. Website gone. Can't ping any of their addresses. Looks like they vanished. Good Luck. They suck bug time. Luckily I only have 2 months left.

Gawdawful customer service, and now the phone service simply isn't working. Email stating massive outage. Great backup, ya knuckleheads!
Answering machine outgoing message has changed, along with access code, but Vonics will NEVER answer their phones or return calls.
What a mistake signing up with this company after Sunrocket's demise.

This is the worst VOIP service I ever had. Somebody written about bad customer service. In fact, I never get any customer service. Calls are broken.
I am planning to get out of this service evenif I loose my remaining 6 months of prepaid service. It is really frustating. I don't know, how they expect to get new customers.

My service is still more miss then hit.. Still no inbound (who knows when or if that will return, they gave me a loose "day" not date but that could be 1.5 weeks away for inbound calls.. Outbound usually works, but not always.. Can't get through to Vonics by phone, and emails to specific people I have dealt with in the past have been unanswered in the last 2 days.
If you are thinking of signing up heed all of us current subscribers and don't do it!
I have also filed a BBB complaint in Cali/San Fran against them.. I urge others having problems to do the same..

I have been using vonics service for two years now. they did have an outage for about half a day from what i know. They are very much there and the service is working fine for me. no real issues to report. I think people are just over reacting because of SUN ROCKET and Vonage's impending disaster.
