PAETEC Expands Wholesale VoIP Origination

PAETEC announced a major expansion of the company’s wholesale VoIP Origination product. The company has increased VoIP Origination geographic coverage by more than 100 percent and now can provide the service in more than 3,300 rate centers nationwide.

The company’s VoIP Origination service allows VoIP service providers to quickly enter new markets by providing local telephone numbers to clients at their home, business or a remote location. In addition, IP-based enterprises such as call centers and conferencing providers can use VoIP Origination to assign local telephone numbers to their clients. This gives providers a cost-efficient method to establish a local presence.

The VoIP Origination product supports Nomadic E-911, local number portability, toll-free services, and directory assistance. An XML interface facilitates rapid deployment, turn-up and ongoing management, which all combine to reduce overhead for PAETEC’s wholesale and resale customers.

Real-time utilities include LNP submission, and E-911 and DID provisioning. The web-based utilities add support for usage reporting and trouble ticketing.

The new product is part of PAETEC’s Wholesale VoIP service suite, which also provides Outbound Termination, Equipment Colocation, and Diverse Interconnect Options utilizing Dedicated T1, Aggregated DS1, Aggregated MPLS, or Public IP. The suite helps IP Service Providers improve the reliability, efficiency and ease of connecting with, servicing and supporting their customers.
