In4S VoIP Gateways Now Rated ''Avaya Compliant''

In4S announces that its VoIP gateways for small and medium business, IP-Carrier Gateway and Mobile Gateway are compliant with Avaya Communication Manager. The VoIP gateways help Japanese small and medium businesses access a broader range of SIP VoIP services. Also, the Mobile Gateway enables connectivity between an Avaya IP Communications solution and wireless LAN handsets from KDDI and NTT DoCoMo, expanding the range of handset options for users.

The VoIP gateways now are compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Communication Manager.

Until now, Avaya IP Communications users in Japan have been limited in their SIP VoIP service options. But now, users can access the VoIP networks of major Japanese carriers, including KDDI’s IP telephony services for enterprises, KDDI Hikari Direct, Hikari Direct over Powered Ethernet, KDDI-IP Phone via an In4S VoIP gateway. (Other major Japanese carrier’s networks are scheduled for connection in due course). By utilizing SIP VoIP services, businesses can call extension numbers between their branches, free of charge, without possessing their own IP network. Because Avaya IP Communications users can now utilize a wider range of SIP VoIP services, they can also choose to utilize 050 numbers, which can be used in any area, or current 0AB-J numbers.

By using an In4S VoIP gateway for mobile handset connection, Avaya IP Communications users can now select KDDI’s wireless LAN handset E02SA or NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA/wireless LAN dual handset, in addition to the models supported so far, which are the Avaya 3616 IP Wireless Phone, the Nokia E61, the SoftBank X01NK/Nokia E61, and the Hitachi Cable WIP-3000 and WIP-5000.
