Next Generation Conferencing Speakerphone Launched the ''Quatro''

Phoenix Audio Technologies introduces the “Quatro” Speakerphone, the highest performance device of its kind. The Quatro features revolutionary, patent pending, concepts and un-paralleled audio pickup and broadcast qualities.

The Quatro utilizes next generation digital signal processing technologies aimed to bring participants closer, even when they are situated far away from the speakerphone. With its multiple microphones and multiple speakers, the Quatro analyzes the room’s acoustics and eliminates noise, reverberations, echoes and other acoustic interferences.

The Quatro operates as an add-on device to existing telephones. It utilizes their Man Machine Interface features (like dialing, memory storing and other), while seamlessly taking over the audio portion of the communication and replacing it with its processed and improved audio stream.

In addition to the core speakerphone unit, Phoenix’s offer includes a number of “plug in” interface modules that compliment the Quatro. The basic unit comes with a USB interface, connector for optional external speakers and an extension plug for daisy chain or external input connection. As such, the basic Quatro is a complete conferencing solution for VOIP applications.

Amongst the “plug in” interface modules that complement the Quatro are POTS interface (single line and two lines), SIP interface, proprietary PBX interfaces, Video Conferencing Systems interface and more. These modules are designed for “Three Way” communication so that the user can conference a telephone call through this particular module with a VOIP call. Most of the modules are available with battery operation. The “plug-in” modules are housed within the Quatro’s body yet are easily replaceable.

The Quatro is a high performance solution for medium and large conference rooms. At the same time it is flexible and highly independent on the communication infrastructure, thus making it the perfect solution for installed-base settings.

The Quatro will be available for sale, through Phoenix’s worldwide distribution, in June 2007.
