One of IT Week’s 2006 Top 50 Innovators

NexTone has been selected as one of IT Week’s Top 50 Technology Innovators of 2006. This marks the second edition of IT Week's annual Top 50 Technology Innovators list. NexTone was also named a Technology Innovator winner in 2005.

The Top 50 Technology Innovators list is compiled by IT Week’s editors from feedback from readers and independent research. It recognizes vendors of products and services for IT Professionals who are the top in their field. These awards are given out to companies whose products IT Week's editors feel demonstrate quality and excellence in their respective fields making them the best.

NexTone’s IntelliConnect System manages all aspects of network interconnects for real-time services and applications, including end-user policies, service connectivity, multi-vendor interoperability, and traffic management. The NexTone IntelliConnect System includes the NexTone SBC, a standalone Session Border Controller for securing enterprise VoIP interconnects; the NexTone MSX, a Multiprotocol Session Exchange platform for interconnecting SIP and H.323 networks; and the NexTone Real-Time Session Manager (RSM), which allows customers to dynamically manage and optimize their services from the network core. In addition, the leading VoIP peering exchanges in the world use NexTone for its session management technology.

IT Week’s Top 50 Technology Innovators is NexTone’s fifth award announced this year. In April, NexTone received the “Clear Choice Test Award” from Network World for the publication’s first SBC test; NexTone’s MSX was rated the best of the large enterprise-focused SBCs tested. In September, NexTone ranked number one in Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 50 Program for Maryland, and was ranked as one of the Top 50 companies for Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 500 in October. NexTone recently was chosen as a winner for Fierce VoIP’s Fierce 15 Companies of 2006.
