New Packet8 Virtual Office PLUS

packet8.jpg8x8 provider of Packet8 announced the addition of Packet8 Virtual Office PLUS plans to its existing lineup of VoIP-Hosted PBX phone services for business.

Packet8 Virtual Office PLUS plans enable businesses of any size to implement Virtual Office, Virtual Attendant or FAX services without investing in Virtual Office business-class phones and terminal adapters, normally priced at $99.99 per extension. In lieu of purchasing such equipment, Virtual Office PLUS subscribers pay an additional $5 - $10 per month per extension for business-class VoIP phone services ranging from unlimited calling plans complete with advanced PBX features to dedicated IP FAX service.

"Our new Virtual Office PLUS Plans lower a business' total cost of ownership for telecommunications even further than our already affordable IP PBX business phone solution, now in use by over 5,000 companies," said 8x8 Vice President of Sales and Marketing Huw Rees. "Unlike premise-based business phone systems that are financially out of reach for the smaller enterprise and other VoIP phone services that lack true business functionality, Packet8 Virtual Office combines all of the elements that are important to a small business owner including ease of installation and use, advanced calling features and low overall TCO."

The Packet8 Virtual Office phone service lets small and medium-sized businesses implement a full featured, corporate-class phone system for a fraction of the cost of traditional business phone system alternatives such as Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs), Key Systems or Centrex. In addition to complete PBX functionality, Virtual Office service plans provide unlimited local and long distance calling in the U.S. and Canada for a flat-rate of only $39.99 per month, as well as lower-priced metered plans and international calling at highly competitive rates.

With the Packet8 Virtual Office solution, employees can be part of a hosted VoIP virtual phone system regardless of their geographic location. The service includes auto attendants, conference bridges, extension-to-extension dialing, business class voicemail and ring groups, in addition to a rich variety of other business class PBX features. Additionally, Virtual Office significantly reduces an organization's telecommunications cost of ownership due to a minimal initial investment and unlimited local and long distance business calling in the United States and Canada.
