Netopia to Launch Support Solution at Apple Expo Paris

Netopia, Inc., a market leader in broadband service assurance solutions, announced it will demonstrate its award-winning Timbuktu Pro remote control software, with support of Intel-based Macs and Skype integration, at the Apple Expo, which takes place Tuesday, September 12 through Saturday, September 16 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. The conference is the largest gathering of Mac users and industry experts keen on learning more about Apple's latest product announcements and technologies.

For two decades, the unsurpassed desktop-to-desktop remote control capabilities of Timbuktu Pro have enabled Mac users to connect to, collaborate with, and observe or control remote attended or unattended Macintosh and Windows computers through the Internet, and now through connections using Skype telephony software as well. Using Timbuktu Pro, users may collaborate with friends, family, and colleagues while engaging in live voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) conversations.

Leveraging Timbuktu's legendary cross-platform remote control technology, eCare 4.5, Netopia's updated call center application, is designed for service providers, call center outsourcers, and help desks. eCare 4.5 is a web-based remote support solution featuring support for both Mac Safari and Windows IE browsers as well as Mac Intel systems out of the box, at no additional cost. From exclusive new features on the front end, including e-mail-initiated support session tickets and reconnect after remote reboot, to more detailed reporting options and improved connection speeds, eCare 4.5 ensures that customers' issues are resolved more quickly and satisfactorily than ever before.

Netopia staff will be available in the Apple Business Solutions Pavilion to demonstrate Timbuktu 8.6 and eCare 4.5 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12 through Saturday, September 16.
