VoIP Universities a Target of NetWolves Corp.

NetWolves Corp., a global managed network and security provider, announced that it has successfully deployed a VOIP Pilot with one of its existing large University customers, and has solidified and presented an extensive offering to its vertical market ranging from providing hosted PBX solutions, to a virtually unlimited VOIP solution for students on-campus.

The existing Pilot is designed to replace an aging PBX with a state of the art hosted VOIP PBX solution. This solution is driven by many factors: the primary need is to work with a single solutions provider to design, deliver, support, and manage an end-to-end solution. Other factors include: aging PBX's, disaster recovery, desire to minimize physical layer equipment managed by the University, and cost reductions. The Pilot has multiple phases: needs assessment, equipment testing on premise, and final design and requirements. Currently NetWolves has equipment on site and is moving quickly to the final design phase. NetWolves is also working with the customer to develop comprehensive financial requirements, which are projected to reduce the current operating costs, and install the solution with limited or no capital expenditure.

Additionally, NetWolves has presented like solutions to as many as ten of its existing higher education institutions including a solution to offer their students a virtually unlimited VOIP solution. Many of NetWolves customers are now in the planning and budgeting phase for their next calendar schools' year, and it is anticipated that a number of these customers will adopt the new set of managed voice and data services.

"With these new initiatives, we expect to further realize the benefits of our strong position in this vertical market," said Walter M. Groteke, chairman and chief executive officer for NetWolves.
