Future of Wireless Demonstrated at CTIA WIRELESS 2006

CTIA WIRELESS 2006, the premiere event for everything wireless, will feature the latest technologies and solutions making today's mobile enterprise more streamlined and simplified. Smartphones, VoIP, RFID, WiMax and WiFi are enabling the mobile workforce to remotely track email, billing, product fulfillment, shipping, inventory and more. At this year's CTIA WIRELESS event, attendees will learn about the latest enterprise applications and technologies that are taking off. Companies showcasing enterprise solutions at CTIA WIRELESS 2006 include Hewlett Packard, Kodak, Cisco Systems, NAVTEQ, Lucent Technologies, Microsoft, Symbian, Texas Instruments, Siemens, Openwave, Kyocera and Bitstream, among others.

CTIA WIRELESS 2006, hosted in the Las Vegas Convention Center April 5-7, provides a venue for attendees to see the latest wireless technologies, applications and services available for a wide array of industries including healthcare, retail, education, financial services, government, utilities, real estate, insurance and transportation.

With nearly 1,000 exhibitors attracting more than 35,000 attendees from 90 countries, CTIA WIRELESS 2006 will offer dedicated technology pavilions addressing enterprise mobility, M2M, VoIP and WiMax. The CTIA WIRELESS conference program - along with several additional co-located conferences - provide attendees with the latest information on mobile and enterprise products available today as well as technological innovations on the way.

"Today's businesses have become more mobile as emerging technologies function to wirelessly connect people to the enterprise. Productivity gains have soared in recent years due in large part to the role that wireless technology has played in the increase in workplace efficiency," said Steve Largent, CTIA president and CEO.

The CTIA WIRELESS conference program and exhibit floor will address key issues facing the wireless enterprise including ROI, applications, device management, emergence of wireless VoIP, security and privacy concerns.

"The wireless industry has evolved to more than consumer electronic devices and gadgets - it's about the delivery of content and the ability to work and collaborate wirelessly," continued Largent. "Wireless communication touches industries that affect every aspect of our lives - healthcare, education, financial services, government, and transportation - from RFID, to cameras, entertainment, phones and enterprise networks."

CTIA WIRELESS 2006 will feature a number of technology pavilions highlighting solutions for enterprise professionals:
  • Enterprise Mobility Pavilion - will feature cutting edge innovators in the mobility and wireless industries; this year will focus on Smartphone enterprise solutions and innovations.
  • M2M Pavilion - the next evolution in communications, here you will find solutions for the wireless remote control and monitoring of fixed and mobile devices for enterprise and consumer markets.
  • WiMax Pavilion - solutions that promote compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products.
  • VoIP Pavilion - exhibitors will feature solutions from handset to infrastructure companies in the enterprise and consumer markets.
  • Developers Pavilion - exhibitors will showcase applications for a variety of needs and industries ranging from multimedia, banking, finance, manufacturing and healthcare.

      CTIA WIRELESS 2006 educational sessions examine the most critical technical, business and policy issues facing the wireless industry. Conference tracks include: Technology Roadmap; Business Ecosystem; Emerging Opportunities and Policy Outlook. Special interest seminars attracting the attention of enterprise professionals include:
