8x8 announced it has appointed TMONE, a VOIP customer acquisition firm based in Iowa City, IA, to provide inbound and outbound telesales services for its Packet8 residential and business internet phone service offerings.

TMONE is an all inclusive direct marketing company that caters to CLEC's, ISP's and VOIP providers looking to cost-effectively expand and enhance their acquisition channels with telemarketing. The TMONE marketing suite includes blended inbound/outbound call center services, database marketing, direct mail, e-mail and internet marketing. Boasting superior inbound conversion rates and fully integrated outbound tele-sales, TMONE delivers an overarching marketing message via multiple high response direct marketing channels to ensure maximum penetration into its client's target market. TMONE's contact center services are complimented by its list marketing and project management divisions.

"We are honored that 8x8 has chosen TMONE to supplement its sales and marketing efforts," said Anthony Marlowe, President & CEO of TMONE. "With 8x8's technological expertise in VoIP and the increasing market penetration of IP telephony, our team is well poised to expand Packet8's marketing efforts."

TMONE will provide direct marketing support for the entire Packet8 family of internet phone services and products -- residential, VideoPhone and Virtual Office small business solutions. In addition to service plans ranging from $19.95 to $49.95 per month, 8x8 provides endpoint devices for Packet8 subscribers including the Uniden Whole House VoIP Phone System, the Packet8 Broadband Consumer VideoPhone and the Virtual Office business-class hands free telephone.

"TMONE has earned a well deserved reputation as a telecom subscriber acquisition specialist and we are pleased to partner with them in this telesales initiative," said 8x8 Vice President of Marketing & Sales Huw Rees.
