HSN and ViseonMedia to Offer Live Electronic TV Retailing

ViseonMedia, a subsidiary of Viseon, Inc. and exclusive provider of TV-quality content to VisiFone Multimedia digital home telephone users worldwide, today announced that the TV shopping network HSN has agreed to provide content for use as part of a U.S. VisiFone consumer pilot slated for early 2006.

The new VisiFone Multimedia digital telephone for VoIP is capable of displaying fully interactive video and digital audio without the complexities of a personal computer, in addition to being a digital telephone/videophone. HSN will deliver selected video and data content to ViseonMedia, who will in turn format and distribute the content to VisiFone homes throughout the United States.

HSN will provide live retail shopping shows featuring high quality products ranging from chic fashions from designers such as Nicole Miller and Sue Wong to stainless steel cookware from Wolfgang Puck to high-tech electronics from Samsung, Sony, JVC and Gateway Computers.

The TV retailer joins other leading consumer content providers including The Weather Channel Interactive, Court TV, Discovery Networks, Fox News Channel, College Sports Television, AccuWeather, Expo TV and many others soon to be announced.

"As the originator of the TV shopping industry, HSN continues to lead the evolution of electronic retail beyond the limits of traditional television retail with exciting new products and programming for our viewers to enjoy," states Peter Ruben, HSN's EVP of Affiliate Relations. "Participating in VisiFone's pilot program further illustrates how HSN embraces new technologies to make it easier and more convenient for our viewers to shop with us, whether it's through interactive TV, online or videophone."

"We are tremendously pleased to include HSN in our VisiFone lineup," said ViseonMedia president and CEO, J.D. de Haseth. "HSN has always been a pioneer in the TV retailing industry and is a perfect partner for ViseonMedia's innovative capabilities."

ViseonMedia will deliver sports, shopping, weather, news, information, and entertainment programming to VisiFone users around the globe. Content providers will ultimately include cable channels, local and national broadcast networks, web portals and print media. Consumers can choose to view personally customized news, sports, weather, and entertainment as well as control the features of their VoIP services directly on the screen of their VisiFone. ViseonMedia interactive programming on the VisiFone is not designed to replace the television or the web portal experience. Instead, it is a dedicated third screen within the home where consumers can automatically view personalized information on their preferred schedule.

According to International Data Corporation, 3 million users will have VoIP service in 2005, reaching 27 million users by 2009. For further information, please see the company websites at www.viseonmedia.com and www.viseon.com.
