Vopium Now Supports 3G Calling on iPhone and iPad App is on the Way

Previously it was possible on Vopium to make VoIP calls using Wi-Fi hotspots, but with the Apple's removal of restrictions on VoIP from its iPhone 3G SDK, cheap VoIP calls on iPhone over local networks is now a reality. This new iPhone app with 3G VoIP/data allows iPhone users to make free calls to Vopium users, Skype users and Gtalk users also outside Wi-Fi, by using the 3G data network. This empowers users to use their existing data plan and avoid any local charges or call set-up charges of operator.

The brand new app for Vopium has just been approved on iPhone app store and you can directly download it from iTunes link. Also you can now enjoy multiple IM facility on Skype, Gtalk, MSN, Yahoo, AIM and ICQ or receive twitter updates on the go. Another interesting feature is Vopium Sync, to take backup calendar and contacts data anytime.

Download it now and get 30 minutes free talk time and 30 SMS free. Make sure 3G data/VoIP calls are disabled as default, you can easily enable it from settings in the new Vopium app. In case you are out of 3G reception zone, switch to Wi-Fi or the regular calling.

What's more? Vopium's app for iPad is pending approval at app store. However you can still download a version from here to make low priced VoIP calls and SMS from iPad either via Wi-Fi or 3G network.
