pulvermedia announced survey data for the VON community detailing their anticipated spending levels for IP communications products and services. Surveys involving more than 3,200 participants from the VON community this past spring indicate that they plan to spend more than $27 billion on IP communications technologies within the next twelve months. All surveys were conducted by the independent research group, Savatar, Inc., which specializes in VoIP industry research.

Now in its 10th year, Fall VON attracts the highest concentration of decision-makers anywhere in the industry. Survey data suggests that more than 80% of the attendee base has purchasing authority. Almost 50 percent of the Fall VON attendees feature C-level, general manager, or director-level titles. This attendee profile also includes a 30 percent technical demographic, who evaluate and recommend technologies and services. According to Savatar's research, VON events have also achieved a high level of attendee loyalty, with 84 percent of respondents stipulating that VON is the only event they plan to attend this year, and 98 percent selecting VON as the event best suited to meet their needs.

When asked what products or services VON attendees are interested in purchasing over the next 12 months, the following categories received the most interest:

* VoIP Equipment: 83%
* Communications & Services: 69%
* Network Infrastructure: 60%
* Video Products & Services: 42%
* Service Provider Offerings: 40%
* And Back Office Support Systems: 20%
